Konami is gearing up to release the next title in the DDR franchise, simply titled DanceDanceRevolution. Returning for Wii, and making a series debut on PlayStation 3, the game aims to add some spice to stale series by offering an impressive setlist of today’s hottest pop tracks. Do they succeed?

Below is the list of some of the 50 tracks included with the game.  You’ve got your newer artists like Ke$ha and Lady Gaga, but it balances out with the return of Sean Paul, the herpes of the DDR franchise.

The greatest news is that all songs listed below are officially licensed tracks! Nothing worse than selecting “Oops!… I Did It Again” only to find out Britney’s been replaced by some unknown named Akira. Check them all out below and let us know what you think.

This holiday season, Michael Jackson is returning to the one medium he failed to dominate; video games. When Ubisoft launches the new singing and dancing title Michael Jackson: The Experience, players will be able to give Michael a run for his money by replicating his signature choreography while belting out his expansive catalogue of hits. Today, Ubisoft has announced a few of the tracks you can groove to when the game ships:

• Bad
• Beat It
• Billie Jean
• Earth Song
• The Girl Is Mine
• Who Is It
• Workin’ Day And Night
• And many more…

Although some of these were pretty obvious inclusions, the confirmation is always welcome.  The Xbox 360 version of the game uses the Kinect peripheral so you can view yourself dancing on screen. The Wii version follows the Just Dance method, where you’ll just replicate what you see on screen. The Wii version is currently playable for the lucky attendees at Gamescom right now. Expect more news about Jackson’s upcoming title in the coming months.

Gaijin Games has a history of releasing incredible downloadable video game titles, each with its own unique musical soundtrack. Of all the Bit. Trip titles however, Bit. Trip Runner features the best soundtrack, heavily influenced by the 8-bit chiptune days we all long for.

Now, that game’s soundtrack is available online to download. All of the WiiWare title’s tracks are priced at $0.99 each, but if you splurge on the whole album of 13 tracks, it will only set you back $5.99. Arguably, the best song from the game is the title track “Blackout City” by Anamanaguchi. Have a preview listen of each track below, and see for yourself!

This one’s a few days old, but it’s news to me – and exciting news at that! In tandem with their announced sponsorship of Blip Festival 2009, Gaijin Games has released the soundtrack to Bit.Trip Beat on the iTunes Store as well as CDBaby. The pricing is a little bit weird – out of the ten tracks, five are lengthier compositions while the other five are under thirty seconds long. Yet on both services, the price for any given track is a dollar, with the full album being approximately $10 on iTunes, and $6 on CDBaby. If you ask me, the ideal solution seems to be laying down a fiver and just grabbing the first five tracks individually, but it’s always good to have a little choice! iTunes has previews of all ten tracks, and they all sound great (assuming you’re into chiptunes).

Perhaps to help raise expectations for the North American Club Nintendo, Europe’s Club Nintendo Stars Catalog has been getting actual physical objects. The latest two objects are the Super Mario Galaxy Official Soundtrack in Gold and 2-disc Platinum editions which will cost 3,850 and 4,850 stars respectively. The Gold edition features 28 tracks from last year’s hit Wii game, and the Platinum edition contains a cool 81 tracks. These CDs were available to Japanese Club Nintendo members last year and have been floating around the internet and eBay since then, and now it looks like Western Nintendo fans will be able to get their hands on them the old-fashioned way. Let’s hope the North American Club Nintendo is this awesome.
