The release window for Rock Band 2 has gotten narrower. Don’t get your hopes too high about finding a giant box of toy instruments under your tree this year, however. (Unless it’s a box of Guitar Hero: World Tour instruments.) Harmonix has confirmed with Destructoid that the game is set to release in “Late December.”

How late? That’s still a mystery. Some time between the 20th and 31st, I would guess. Either way, the demand for this game will most definitely be greater than the supply. Expect lots of sad faces this Christmas morning.

In a round about way, there is hope again for gamers following the Nibris title. In an epic journey taking the video from an email sent to GoNintendo’s RawMeatCowboy, the footage was posted online, only to be removed soon. Luckily, DaisukeKiriyama snagged it and gave it a happy home on YouTube. If this is real (which it looks like it may be) Nibris is much further along than believed.

Sadness and ROTR developer Nibris has officially launched its redesigned website. The preview page for Sadness does include what looks like a new screenshot of Maria climbing a ladder, and the rest of the site has some images such as concept art from other projects and photos from the small Nibris offices.

As you might expect, there’s very little to no new information, unless you’re looking for a job at Nibris. We might get some new goodies around the Leipzig Games Convention…
