An interesting piece on the NY Daily News website want us to stroll down memory lane, and explore the last 25 years of Nintendo history. Despite decades of innovation, Nintendo’s most successful title was actually released in 1985. To date, Super Mario Bros. has sold over 40 million copies. The second biggest selling video game of all time is Wii Fit, with 22.56 units sold. That’s pretty epic, considering it’s cost being bundled with the Balance Board.

The article also talks about other creations, such as the Game & Watch collection, the Power Pad and of course, the Power Glove,… “it’s so bad.”

Is Wii Boxing not authentic enough for you? Well, maybe you should look into these. From sporting equipment company Everlast Worldwide, these boxing gloves come with straps for holding your Wii Remote and Nunchuck in place while you flail away at rival Miis. (Though I’m not sure how you’re supposed to point at the screen to make menu selections with your Wii Remote bound to your fist like that.)

They’re pretty authentic, too. They’re made of “real” synthetic leather and weight 3.8 ounces, with open fingers for easy button manipulation. They retail for $30. Feel free to buy them for me for Christmas.
