One of the best discoveries I made while in school was a little site called Campus Food. If I was hungry, I could simply browse through a bunch of restaurants, place an order, and it would be at my door within the hour. What if you’re sitting at your TV with a bunch of friends, though, and don’t really feel like getting up to go to your computer? You’re just that lazy. What then?

Luckily for those in Japan (where some seven million or so Wii exist in the wild), it’s as easy as going to the Wii menu, hopping on the Food Delivery Channel, and placing an order. That’s right, the Wii is now in fact better than a toaster. The channel will use the Demae-can.com ordering service and allow users to pick from Japanese food (e.g., sushi), Chinese food, Italian food (e.g., pizza), and other Western selections, all while being entertained with music appropriate to the selections you’re looking at.

Once you’ve made your picks, you send your order in, and your food will be at your door in as little as half an hour. After all this talk, I sort of wish I could do this right now…
