Could gaming soon become synonymous with good taste? Konami has announced an exclusive line for men, based on Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker on PSP. Ranging from pants, jackets, tops, and even a hat, these clothes draw on the outfits and aesthetic of the much loved game, with new items will be added quarterly and during “certain special events” during the year.

Interested buyers in the US and Canada can begin purchasing online starting April 11, 2011. Oh, and if you’re wondering whether the ladies will dig, the answer is yes, yes, a thousand times yes. Gallery of the clothes below!

What could be lovelier than a girl dressed up like a giant Game Boy? Nothing, right? Sure, a VMU might get you more nerd-cred, but nothing can touch the classic barely-portable, yellowish-green-screened, pink-buttoned look of an original Game Boy. Fortunately for any lady who might like to add these Game Boy stylings to her wardrobe, Etsy seller Sew-Oeno has designed a tube dress which faithfully reproduces our old AA-battery-eating friend. She describes the $60 dress as being made from ‘soft gray knit and black fabric,’ with ‘each piece sewn on separately.’ It seems they will all be custom-made at time of order, with custom-sizing available. This leads to a 1-2 week wait, giving you plenty of time to search the attic for your long-neglected Game Boy, Tetris cartridge still tucked comfortably inside.

It only takes about five second of browsing on Threadless before getting a serious case of the I Wants. If you haven’t had the pleasure, you should take a look at the (cheap!) shirts they have to offer. Their unique, user-submitted and user-voted designs are often the most fresh and innovative on the Web. Take the above T for example. “Real” space ships casting Space Invaders shadows? Its the type of stuff that makes me worry that with all the awesome ideas snapped up, there’ll be nothing left for my own brilliance someday. Its almost depressing.

Some great Etsy finds today! Now that The Tanooki has gone multi platform, that means I’m free to overwhelm you all with my maddening Fallout 3 obsession. Prepare for the bombardment. Its only just begun.

These Fallout 3 inspired items are all hand made by various geek-craftsters on Etsy. Above on the left is a Vault 101 jacket, men’s size 40 and $85, by SindeeGee (note: other vault numbers are available…but if you get 87, I will send Fawkes after your mutated ass). The fashionista-gamer will be happy to know that Atari plans on bringing the hit Bravo Lifetime fashion competition show Project Runway to the Wii.  Weinstein Co., the production company for Project Runway has signed a multi-game deal, maybe one of which could be a spin-off, say Project Runway: Cat Fashions? Never know.

Although nothing is finalized, Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn are both likely to appear.  Players will compete in different missions, similar to the show’s format.  Additionally, walking down the runway in the game can be done with the Wii Balance Board. Since the deal was just made, it may be some time before we get a screenshot.
