Sega’s adds XBLA titles to Holiday Mega Sale

Look! Sonic’s running away! Better catch him today!

Sega is running a Holiday Mega Sale for North America, Europe, and Australia, but only just today added several Sonic games on Xbox Live Arcade to the sale. The original Sonic the Hedgehog trilogy normally sells for five bucks per game, but today only, you can get them for 40% off at $3.00 each. Sonic & Knuckles is on sale for 50% off at only $1.50! Finally, if you want something a bit newer, Sonic Adventure and After Burner Climax are 50% for only $5.00 each, and Sonic 4 Episode I is 33% off for just $10. Again, these titles are discounted only for today.

This is, of course, on top of their regular Holiday Mega Sale, which runs through January 3rd. Several other titles are on sale for iPhone and PlayStation Network, so be sure to check out the full list be low and take advantage of the sales while you still can!

Amazon chops $22 off the price for Medal of Honor

Wallet sore yet? Of course not, since I’m sure you’re all saving those Benjamins for a certain 3D handheld!

Seriously, though, if you’ve got some cash, Amazon’s got a deal for you. They’re discounting all versions of Medal of Honor, normally priced at $59.99, by a whopping 37% today. If you haven’t picked up the game since its October release, now you can do so for only $37.99 while the deal lasts. Get moving!

Gaming deals to be had at Toys R Us with BOGO 40% offer

Today through November 20, Toys R Us is offering gamers across all platforms a pretty impressive deal. On all Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 games, players can get in on the company’s buy one, get one 40% sale. Considering we’re in the middle of an epic tsunami of big game releases, this is about as good of a deal as you can get (short of being in the audience during Oprah’s “Favorite Things” of course).

Another notable deal happening on Tuesday November 16 at the house of Geoffrey includes a free $20 gift card, given with the purchase of either Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood or the limited edition of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit. This may be enough for some of you to cancel those GameStop pre-orders.

With initiatives like offering game trade-ins at select stores, and competitive pricing, many gamers are choosing the blue and yellow chain over its competitors. Best Buy is continuing to please this weekend, with a couple of exclusive gaming deals.

Members of the company’s unique Reward Zone Gamer’s Club can pick up a copy of Tekken 6 for Xbox 360 for just $9.99. That’s 30 bucks off the original price. For sports fans, 2010 FIFA World Cup: South Africa will sell for $39.99, saving you $20. For the music fan, The Beatles: Rock Band for all consoles will be available for just $17.99 this weekend, saving you $12. This deal usually comes around every few months, but I surely haven’t seen it in a while. A year’s subscription to Nintendo Power is now on sale for just $5 on Amazon. You better believe I picked this sucker up.

Originally, the price for a year’s subscription comes out to nearly $60.

GameStop cuts New Super Mario price before Galaxy launch

Gaming retail powerhouse GameStop is trying to appeal to the 2D Mario fan prior to the galactic return of Mario’s 3D adventures. Right now, New Super Mario Bros. Wii is just $34.99, and that’s for a new copy of the game. That’s $15 off the price of the game, found elsewhere for $49.99.

Of course, their online webstore claims the deal is an online exclusive. Regardless, if you haven’t picked up Mario’s New adventure, you may want to get on that now.

Amazon is hosting quite a nice deal on Nintendo’s pink Wii Remote and its diminutive add-on Wii MotionPlus. Right now, you can get yourself the bundle for just $39.54. Alternatively, the black and blue remote bundles will set you back $49.99 each.

A must have deal for any girl out there. Or gents, if you can get past the overall girlishness of waving a pink wand, it’s a pretty fair deal for you as well. Who’s snaggin’ one?

If you’re like me, you can’t help but be enticed to purchase the black Wii. The sleek shiny color makes the console almost irresistible, even if it’s the same exact thing as its white predecessor.

But if the color change is too tempting to pass up, GameStop has a deal for you. For just $49.99, you can trade in your white Wii console and get a brand new black Wii console. You’ll also need to trade in an additional Wii Remote and Nunchuk, but who doesn’t have a few extra of those lying around. Somehow, I acquired 7 of them. Yes,… 7.

But don’t forget, all your precious save data and downloaded games will be going with the console too. Decisions, decisions.

Walmart offering Wii plus any game for $199

Walmart is offering a pretty sweat deal for those who haven’t gotten their hands on a Wii console. Right now, with the purchase of any Wii, you can choose a free bonus game from their pre-determined list, and it’s a pretty good list (which I included below).

In my world, I find it hard to imagine there’s a person out there who hasn’t purchased a Wii yet. It actually pains me to think someone is robbing themselves of that joy. I’ll always hold Wii’s launch day as one of my more memorable gaming experiences.

Amazon lowers white DSi price to $129

Today’s gaming deal of the day has been found on Amazon.com. Earlier this week, Nintendo revealed a new white DSi bundle that includes Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story for the regularly console’s regular price. Likely due to this, Amazon has lowered the price of the standard white DSi, now on sale for $129.99.

Not so bad when the regularly price handheld is $169.99. This will make the choice of getting DSi or DSi XL a lot easier if money is your decision maker.

Peace Walker getting limited edition “Big Boss Pack” PSP

As if there wasn’t enough hoopla over Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker already, it’s been confirmed that the exclusive limited edition “Big Boss Pack” bundle (shown above) will be available upon the game’s launch. By “exclusive,” they mean: the bundle will only be available in U.S. GameStop locations. For $199.99, you’ll get a “Camouflage” PSP-3000, the game itself, a voucher for unlockable in-game content, a 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo, a premium carrying case, and a PSN downloadable movie voucher for which the movie has yet to be announced.

Pretty sweet deal, especially for only $199. For those of you not planning on picking this up, you still have the regular Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker PSP Entertainment Pack as an option when the game and these bundles launch on June 8th.
