Like them? I think I prefer the black/red Brain Age DS to that blue one, but the Mario DS is pretty spiffy. 

These babies will be available at Sears on Black Friday, and possibly only on Black Friday. The red one comes with a copy of New Super Mario Bros. and the blue one comes with a copy of Brain Age and a sexy similarly-colored carrying case.

They’re nice, alright, but I think I’ll continue to wear my white DS Lite as a badge of honor. “I bought mine years ago!”

Early this morning, Nintendo announced plans to release retooled versions of Brain Age 1 and 2 in the DSi store. What exactly does that mean? That hasn’t been revealed yet. Maybe it has something to do with the camera for some truly hardcore Rock Paper Scissors action. Booyah!

Both versions of Brain Age will be available in the DSi store at launch. No price has yet been set, but digital versions of games that everyone already owns? Don’t expect to be spending a huge amount of money to be getting your brain on.

Your brain can officially rest. Dawn Pain, Nintendo UK’s Marketing Director, says there are no plans for future Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training games for the Nintendo DS.

“Given that both titles continue to perform well, there are no plans for any more titles in the series.”

Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day! and the sequel, Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day! have gone on to sell 24-million copies worldwide, making it one of the most successful games in Nintendo’s history and a top-seller for the DS. I’ve long since put the game down after being told my brain was the same as a 33 year olds. How dare he!
