Starting next month, the Wii U Deluxe Set will cost $299. The price cut was expected, given the upcoming release of the PlayStation 4 this November, which will launch at just $399.
Nintendo will officially drop the price on September 20, but you may want to check with local retailers. It’s likely some price cuts will go into effect prior to that date.
Now that the most expensive model of Wii U is $100 less than the next generation of higher spec consoles, I’d be surprised if we didn’t see a serious sales spike this autumn.
