New for iPhone and Android devices comes an app that’s truly a must have for any video game consumer. Introducing Cedemo, the video game barcode scanner.
Once downloaded, users can use the app to scan the barcode on over 20,000 video games, past and present — dating back to the year 2000 — to instantly obtain assets. If you aren’t the futuristic scanning type, you can always type a game title into the app’s search bar.
The Cedemo app is a great tool when you’re out and about, offering screenshots, game details, trailers and gameplay footage; all will help you avoid those on-the-fence or accidental game purchases. The app is also great once you’re home enjoying the game, bringing hints and game tips.
I gave Cedemo a test drive, and was pretty amazed at how well it works. Out of the random selection of games I picked it, it had assets for each and every one of them; somehow, their trailer Donkey Kong Country Returns was one I had never seen. I’d certainly give this a big thumbs up to anyone who needs a bit of visual reassurance prior to purchasing their games.
