New details reported by AndriaSang on the Brain Age series indicate that a third title is on the way, and possibly for the 3DS. In the recent book “Farewell Brain Games”, series likeness Ryuta Kawashima confirmed work on a new entry in the popular DS franchise, giving a release date indicating the end of 2010 in the scant details provided.
While no Brain Age title has yet been confirmed, it’s worth noting that the 3DS was originally intended for a holiday release. If Kawashima had not been updated on the fact, it’s possible the third could be slated for the next generation hand held, a smart move in light of the 33 million copies already sold in the series worldwide.
Whatever the case, we should know one way or another soon, as we’re now officially in the month of December, and the Nintendo 3DS is has an expected release date of February 2011.
