If you’re like me, you can’t even begin to comprehend why some truly terrific franchises get neglected by publishers. In EA’s case, I’m strictly talking about their winter sports extravaganza, SSX. The last SSX game was the 2007 motion-based SSX Blur for Wii, easily the greatest skiing/ snowboarding title on the console before the creation of the Balance Board.
Now, rumor has it EA is readying new SSX game, thanks to the discovery of two new domain names: “SSX First Descent” and “SSX Deadly Descent.” Obviously there’s a good chance these domains serve a purpose, possibly PlayStation Move and Kinect infused. Or, maybe the new domain names serve as EA’s leap into the perfume business, with “First Descent” for her and “Deadly Descent” for him.
Eh,… let’s hope it’s a new game.
