Rally planned at Supreme Court game law hearing

On November 2nd, the ruling in the controversial California game law case that would give individual states the right to ban the sale of any video game deemed too violent, will be given at the U.S. Supreme Court. Several key entertainment industry groups, including the Entertainment Software Association, have spoken out about this dangerous act, titled the California Assembly Bill 1179, and now you have a chance too.

As the case of Schwarzenegger v. EMA Supreme Court concludes inside the U.S. Supreme Court Building in D.C., the Entertainment Consumers Association is planning a rally just outside the front door. Come bright and early at 9am and support the gaming industry from a censorship that could lead to your local government dictating the games you’ll play forever.

Or don’t come, that’s fine too. And instead of enjoying a nice zombie-killing round of Left 4 Dead 2, your selection will be reduced to a fun filled night of… Wii Party. Ah!!!

Come join me, and many, many more in D.C. November 2nd. Official press release below the break.

ECA Rallies Gamers at the U.S. Supreme Court

On November 2, the United States Supreme Court will be hearing the case Schwarzenegger v. EMA. This is the first time that the Supreme Court has agreed to hear arguments on any state law attempting to restrict or ban the sale of video games. Until now, all of those laws have been struck down, but we can’t guarantee that the Supreme Court will agree.

That is why we’re asking you to join the ECA for a rally in support of free speech and to demonstrate that you’re not afraid to show it!
