Nintendo World Store in NYC closed for remodel

As of yesterday, the Nintendo World Store in New York City had shut its doors, but don’t fret my pet. It’s only for a quick two week remodel. The iconic store at Rockefeller Plaza will re-open on November 1st completely revamped. Here are some of the new features planned:

  • Expansion of the Nintendo Showcase to twice its original size. The showcase will feature Nintendo products and artifacts in a visually impressive way.
  • New floors and new lighting.
  • New interactive stations for Nintendo DSi™ and Nintendo DSi XL™.
  • New graphics throughout the store.

And here I was hoping for a few 3DS demo stations. Sigh. Nintendo is also holding a day long re-opening event on November 7th so fans can come check out the new digs.
