Sega has been flooding the spring-filled stream of gameplay footage released, showcasing the fast paced adventures of the blue blur’s upcoming 2D rebirth, now that the game is little more than a week away from console release. The newest trailer released today for Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 shows off the impressively designed, obstacle ridden Mad Gear Zone.

And don’t forget, Sonic 4′s first episode is scheduled to drop October 7th for Apple iPhone and iPod Touch, October 11th for WiiWare, October 12th for PSN and October 14th for Xbox Live.
