I wasn’t too surprised to see the newly released Halo: Reach missing the number one spot. There just aren’t enough copies of the game out there living on their own yet, especially to contend with the Modern Warfare 2 juggernaut that is coming up on its first cake and candles day.
What did catch me off guard, is that Reach wasn’t even the highest ranking Halo title on the list. That’s right, you heard me, Halo 3 clung on to the number 2 spot over diaper dandy Reach. Never underestimate the old timers I suppose. It will be interesting to see where everything stands next week. Full list after the break.
Update: Major Nelson made a boo boo with the list earlier, and Reach did in fact assassinate its older brother out of the number 2 spot. Modern Warfare 2 still remains on top of the pile. (Thanks yankeesrule3526)
