TGS 2010: Sega reveals Phantasy Star Online 2

Made as a surprise announcement ending a Phantasy Star video montage at TGS 2010, Phantasy Star Online 2 is official. The online RPG sequel, rumored after Sega registered a URL of the same name, coincidentally comes ten years after the original Phantasy Star Online and will host a slew of new features, including community supported content, a user driven story, and a new variety of ways to customize your character. The game is expected in Japan sometime in 2011. There’s been no word on a worldwide release, but the TGS trailer promised “global support” so we can only assume that’s to come.
