Nintendo celebrates 25 years with Super Mario All Stars Wii revival

Looks like the spiffy logo you see above won’t be the only tribute to Nintendo’s 25th anniversary. The occasion will also be marked by a Star Mario All-Stars revival on the Wii in Japan. Entitled Super Mario Collection Pack, it will include the contents of 1993′s original Super Mario All-Stars (Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 2 aka Super Mario USA, Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels aka the “real” Super Mario Bros. 2). It will also have some special additions like a “Super Mario History 1985-2010″ booklet, and a CD containing the Mario soundtrack spanning Super Mario Brothers to Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Super Mario Collection Pack is set for a limited release on October 21 in Japan, with no news if there will be a world wide release. Yet. I’m hoping. Crossed fingers.

If the US doesn't get it, that's crap! We (Americans) are just as responsible for Mario's success as the Japanese. Why does it always seem that we get shafted out of all the cool stuff they get over there. True, it hasn't been confirmed that we won't get it, but it's got that “feeling” that it won't. 64DD I'M LOOKING AT YOU!!!
