Great Scott! We’re finally getting some details about Telltale Games’ upcoming Back to the Future episodic adventure, coming this holiday. Let’s get down to it.
Christopher Lloyd, who portrayed Doctor Emmett Brown in the triology will be providing voice work for Doc in all of the game’s episodes. This isn’t a huge surprise, as Lloyd has been extremely loyal to the franchise, reprising his role as Doc Brown in cartoons, TV commercials, and Universal’s now defunct Back to the Future: The Ride, and its subsequent replacement The Simpsons Ride. The confirmation of Lloyd however makes it unlikely we’ll hear from Michael J. Fox, but rest assured Marty McFly will indeed be featured.
Also important to note is that Bob Gale, the screenplay writer of the trilogy, has been working closely with Telltale to ensure the storyline of each episode is in line with the heart of the series.
As of now we don’t have any clue on what the plot points will be, but we do know that our favorite time traveling duo will again be in Hill Valley in the year 1985 — and of course several other years via their time traveling DeLorean. No word why they are using the DeLorean and not the time traveling locomotive, but we’re thankful for the decision.
So far the confirmation is pretty much great news. We’re pretty likely to see something about the game at PAX. Hold on your hats folks. ‘Cause when this baby hits 88 mph, you’re going to see some serious stuff.
