Telltale to show off Back to the Future at PAX? Updated!

Based on some stealth detective work (aka reading Tweets) it appears that Telltale Games may be gearing up to show off their much hyped Back to the Future episodic adventure at PAX next week.

Earlier today, the developer tweeted:

“The excitement around @Official_PAX is definietly building around here. Looking forward to anything in particular at the expo?”

But interestingly, a few minutes later they tweeted this:

“Back to the Future 3 is on Nick at Nite (@NickelodeonTV) tonight at 8PM Eastern (US Only). Get up to speed on your BttF knowledge.”

If that isn’t a clue as to some sort of PAX showing, I don’t know what is! Telltale actually has their own event planned called “Make a Scene with Telltale” on Friday, where during an interactive event they are said to give details about Sam & Max, and other upcoming projects.

The BTTF game is set to bring back your favorite characters in an original storylined based within the Marty McFly/ Doc Brown universe. And since Telltale is still aiming for a holiday release date, I’d say now seems like a good time to finally unveil the game.

UPDATE: Just as I suspected, it appears Telltale is gearing up to show off BTTF to the masses at PAX. The company is said to have a replica DeLorean time machine on hand at their booth (#3509). I assume this means we are guaranteed to at least get some news, if not a trailer, for the upcoming game. What say you now, doubters?

  • marocel

Wow, that sure is a hint! That gets me really excited!

I'm sorry, but there's just no reason to consider this a hint. Everyone knows they're making these BTTF games, so it makes sense that they're telling people to brush up because these games are in development. Without more to go on than this, there's absolutely no cause to jump to such a conclusion.
