The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword isn’t due to slash store shelves until sometime within the broad 2011 time range. Translation? We’re going to impatiently gobble up every bit of news and information we can.
In the latest issue of Nintendo Power, on store shelves now, we do learn a bit about the story of the next Zelda Wii adventure. Link resides within Skyloft, an aerial area that floats above the clouds. Below Skyloft is a land in peril. Due to an event that will “change Link’s life forever,” our tunic-wearing hero will leave Skyloft to enter the dangerous land below to help restore good. Throughout the adventure, Link will transport himself between Skyloft and this dangerous land, though the details of how he’ll move from land to land are being kept secret for now.
I guess this explains the Skyward Sword E3 trailer which showed Link belly flopping off a cliff through the clouds. I can’t wait for Link to return in 2011.
