Eager monster slayers came out on Saturday to celebrate the North American pre-release of the DS title Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies, held at the Nintendo World Store in New York City (the title released abroad on Sunday). Players young and old waited in line to purchase the game, while also taking part in the festivites.
Some gamers played the game at one of the many designated booths, while others waited in line for an autograph from franchise creator Yuji Horii. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Dragon Quest launch party without a giant Slime for an unforgettable photo-op.
