Sonic is turning 19! You know what this means, right? Sonic can now legally drink in Canada. What better way to celebrate this than spending money? Prices on all digital downloads of Sonic games, from iPhone to PS3, will be reduced this week in celebration of Sonic’s June 23 birthday.

OMG GET IT SPED BY! If those are the kinds of lines these PR types are writing for him, then we can’t get this kid a pint fast enough. Bad enough that they’re using his birthday as an excuse to shop.

LONDON & SAN FRANCISCO – In celebration of Sonic the Hedgehog’s 19th birthday this week, SEGA today announced that they are rolling back prices on all Sonic digital titles, including titles available for download on iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, Xbox 360, PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 3.
When asked for comment, Sonic said: “Between searching for the Chaos Emeralds, adventuring with my friends, and keeping Dr. Eggman at bay, the last 19 years have just sped by!”
