Microsoft has just pulled the sheet off of it’s partnership with ESPN, bringing all sorts of goodies to Gold Members. And by all sorts, I mean up 3,500 events in one year (most of them in HD) covering the NBA, MLB, NCAA football, NCAA basketball, soccer, NHL, and Sportscenter. No partnership with the NFL yet, but that is still a pretty good spread.
Scores, trivia, polls and highlights are available in real time, for instance when you first log into an event, you’re asked who you’re rooting for, and your avatar strolls over to the corresponding side with statistics showing other users’ opinion. The best part of all? This is all free for Gold members. Of course, assuming that you’ve paid for your membership.
