It’s just been announced that Portal 2, the highly anticipated sequel to Valve’s original Orange Box title, will be delayed until next year. Originally scheduled for holiday 2010, no new release date has been given thus far.
“Also, the game will be even better,” says the press release. Interesting.
I guess this makes some sense, considering Valve canceled the Portal 2 E3 press event just weeks ago. Of course they did say they’d be offering a “surprise” instead to fans. If a game cancellation is the only surprise, there are going to be some angry gamers next week! Maybe we can expect another Valve game announcement instead?
