This is not a remake! Repeat: this is not a remake. Square Enix is making the first original Final Fantasy game ever to come to Nintendo DS. Entitled Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes Of Light, this fresh entry in the series has a new Action Point Combat System, which distributes action points to players during battles, which you can save up to wield more powerful attacks. A new crown system will allow you to switch your characters’ classes as easily as switching hats, and there will be over 20 jobs to choose from. Their appearance will change as they equip new weapons and armor, as well.
The game will also have multiplayer connectivity, with the ability to hook up and dungeon explore with up to four of your friends via DS Wireless Play. Expect this new adventure to drop October 5, and be sure to check out our screen shots below.
