According to Enterbrain, the PlayStation 3 managed to surpass the 5 million sold mark in Japan. The milestone was reached on Sunday, when it was revealed that the top 3 selling games of all-time for the PS3 in Japan are Final Fantasy XIII (1.8 million), Metal Gear Solid 4 (706,461), and Yakuza 4 (526,093).
While well ahead of the Xbox 360′s 1.3 million in Japan, it will be some time before the PlayStation 3 catches up to the Wii’s 10 million-plus, though the PlayStation Move should help to accelerate Sony’s console.
