Gears of War 3 slated for April 5, 2011 release

When we originally reported the existence of Gears of War 3, it was thought that the confirmation (made accidentally on Xbox Live Dashboard) spoiled lead designer Cliff Bleszinski’s delayed Jimmy Fallon appearance, where he was to officially announce the game. Well, spoiled surprise or no, a few good things did come out of Monday’s late night stint, most notably the trailer above and the confirmed release date of April 5, 2011.
