3D Origami models of Mega Man and Mettaur

I’m Asian, so naturally one of the things people expect me to be able to do is Origami. Unfortunately, I tend to be more of what they call a “Twinkie” Asian, so there are a lot of aspects of Asian culture that I’m completely clueless about, or was clueless about for the longest time. Luckily, I’ve met a few other Asians while growing up, learned about Origami from one of them, and I’m actually pretty good with it now. I can do your basic stuff, as well as some small scale 3D Origami models. What I can’t do is gather the patience and creativity to come up with something like what you see above.

The Mega Man and Mettaur models above use about 1250 pieces and 252 pieces, respectively, and are created entirely using 3D Origami. The creator, o0DreamMyst0o, explains that the process took a hefty amount of time and work, requiring that the two figures constantly needed to be broken apart and rebuilt as the design was tweaked a little bit each time.

Very nicely done, o0DreamMyst0o!
