Despite some back and forth on the speculation front, a sequel to High Voltage Software’s critically acclaimed FPS The Conduit has been confirmed, according to Nintendo Power. The game will be set in Atlantis, and will offer fans of the original a ton of additions. Here’s what’s been announced so far for The Conduit 2:
- New types of gameplay for online mode
- Different character classes
- Suit upgrades (robotic legs for sprinting)
- Wii Speak support returning
- You can change character’s appearance
- 2-4 player splitscreen for competitive play
- Co-op “Invasion Mode” (Up to 4 players in different challenges, online or local)
- SEGA returning as publisher
- Vortex Cannon and Phase Rifle as new weapons, plus old weapons returning
- Bigger boss battles
- One primary suit slot and two secondary suit slots for equipment upgrades
