Here’s a shocker: the latest issue of Famitsu magazine has updated their list of the most-wanted games in Japan, and Dragon Quest X for the Wii and Final Fantasy Versus XIII for the PS3 take the number one and two spots, respectively. Totally didn’t see that coming.
DS games Ni no Kuni and Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 are right behind them, while Final Fantasy XIV (PS3) and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (PSP) snagged the 5th and 6th spots. The games I currently believe to be 3DS launch window titles – Pokemon (Generation 5) – come in at number seven. You can check out the entire Top 30 after the break.
I wonder how this list would change if Square Enix actually decided to move ahead with the Final Fantasy VII remake?
