Xbox Live’s Major Nelson has alerted the world this morning that Microsoft will be releasing a system update that will allow Xbox 360 consoles to support the use of USB devices for storage. Gamers will be able to use the USB drive to store profiles, game saves, demos and other content.
Coming April 6th, the update will allow gamers to use the little USB suckers for up to 16GB of space, and you’ll be fully able to allocate just how you want your content stored. You can even use two of these at the same time, adding an additional 32GB to your console.
Microsoft will also be partnering with SanDisk to release Xbox 360 branded flash drives this May.
