Square Enix CEO to explore possibility of FFVII remake

This one’s really starting to pick up some steam, huh? Following on heels of Motomu Toriyama’s admission that he’d love to helm a remake of the classic Final Fantasy VII, the head of Square Enix, Yoichi Wada has finally come out to say that his company will seriously consider the investment.

“Right now we don’t have a clear direction, but many fans have requested we remake Final Fantasy VII. We’re going to explore the possibility – whether or not we’re going to do it, if we’re going to do it, and the platform.”

It seems we’ll get more juicy details on what Mr. Wada said in a few days, but apparently (and obviously) cost seemed to be a major issue – even prompting the interviewer to ask if a PSP version might be more feasible. After all, the system’s already got Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, right? We’ll find out more soon.

HI! IM A BIG FINAL FANTASY FAN. I LIKE PLAYING THE GAMES BECAUSE OF THE STORY AND THE BATTLES AND THE PUZZLE AND THE EXPLORING AND THE BATTLE MODE AND THE MINIGAMES. I BOUGHT FF13 PS3 FOR R800.00 AND IM A LITTLE DISSAPOINTED. BECAUSE OF THE STORY, BATTLES, THERE IS NO PUZZLE AND NO EXPLORING. IN THE EARLY FF GAMES YOU COULD BATTLE FOR HOURS ON ONE PLACE TO GET EXP. I REALY LIKED FF10 BECAUSE OF THE SUMMONING OF GAURDIAN FORCES AND THEN YOU COULD PLAY FOR HOURS WITH IT TO MAKE IT STRONGER, STORY,BATTLES,PUZZLE, MINI GAMES(BLITZBALL,SPHEREBREAK) AND THE ENDLESS EXPLORING. I WISH THAT YOU GUYS CAN MAKE FF10 AS IT IS FOR PS3 JUST BETTER GRAPHICS MORE PUZZLES MORE GAURDIAN FORCES AND MORE EXPLORING. I WIL PAY ANYTIME R800.00 TO R1000.00 FOR FF10 PS3 IF YOU GUYS DO IT. THANX J.C
