I’m what they call a pack rat. I don’t necessarily collect things like an obsessive card, comic, or action figure enthusiast might, but if something rare or special comes my way, I’ll probably stash it somewhere and hold on to it. In extreme cases, I might go out of my way to obtain something… but more often than not I decide that if I didn’t purchase something when it first came out or if I don’t have it already, it’s not worth paying for.
Enter this display unit. The only reason I didn’t gun for this? Money. …and the fact that I didn’t know about the auction. But mostly money. However, in this case it’s not that I wouldn’t pay money for a R.O.B. Display Unit in its original Nintendo box that supposedly was never used at retail… it’s that I don’t have $4,150 in the first place.
