The release of Nintendo’s upcoming arcade shooter Sin & Punishment: Star Successor is just around the corner (June’s around the corner at this point right?). The game, developed by Treasure, is a sequel to the Japan exclusive Nintendo64 title Sin & Punishment, a game fans around the world begged the Big N to play. Luckily, they were granted that chance when the title launched on the Wii’s Virtual Console. But the game’s sequel promises to offer so much more.
Navigate your character in an on-rails world using a jetpack or a hoverboard to attack enemies and avoid enemy fire. While advancing through the game’s different stages, you’re main mission is to up your skill level by receiving as many points as possible, using the game’s score multiplier, a la Link’s Crossbow Training. The title will support an online leaderboard system so you can compete against players around the world. Featuring two playable characters, the game also supports local multiplayer.
The updated sequel will support the use of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, Classic Controller and the Wii Zapper. So get yourself ready for Sin & Punishment: Star Successor to release June 7th, with the game’s trailer below.
