We barely have a sampling of what’s going on with Sonic 4 at the moment, and already fans are drooling over aspects of the game – including its soundtrack by Sonic & Knuckles‘ Jun Senoue. Last month, SEGA of America’s blog revealed what would eventually be confirmed as the game’s intro theme (above), the melody of which has already been resampled and remixed in the videos past the break.
The first video below is a “Rock Version” by P4KO, which takes not after Senoue’s Sonic & Knuckles sound, but rather his rockin’ sound from the Dreamcast-era Sonic games. The guitar recording here is no “Open Your Heart” solo, but you get the idea. The second video by SonicTweaker goes for a more Sega CD sound, and if that’s not retro enough for you, the last one by Shadrow0 takes a shot at an 8-bit-ish sound.
