Will there be a Conduit 2?

If the “sly grins” of the developers at High Voltage Software are any indication, then yes. G4TV’s Eric Eckstein took the time to visit them at this year’s Game Developers Conference, and spotted something interesting while he was there:

“…what caught my eye was that in the demo room there was a poster on the back wall.  And on the poster, in a Conduit-esque font, was a giant 2.  No date, no title, just the 2. So my first instinct was to ask the designer giving the demo, “is that your subtle way of teasing the next Conduit game?”  To which he laughed and said, “There’s more to come on that!”  I asked to take a picture, but was told politely that I could not.  No one was willing to confirm that this was indeed a tease for The Conduit 2 when asked, but the sly grins said a mouthful.”

As you all know, the GDC is about developers, not the general gaming public, so it’s interesting that they would choose to advertise the sequel among their colleagues and competitors. That aside, will The Conduit 2 actually pan out? As always, only time or another conference will tell.

You liked The Conduit, then? I've heard so many lukewarm things about it that I wasn't sure if I'd buy it.

Online mode crashes sometimes, and some game elements are very repetitive,..but it's still the best FPS on Wii. As far as online multiplayer goes, I love it. Nearly as fun as Goldeneye 007's multiplayer. I actually never finished the single player mode cause I'm more drawn to blowing up strangers with a rocket launcher. If they make a sequel with MotionPlus…it would be heaven.

Good to know, it's nice to hear from someone who won't automatically be biased because it's on the Wii.

I loved the game and still play it today, i just wish it was a bit meatier..mapmaker, DLC, some more weapons and maps, and no more of Nintendo's crap friendcode and isolated online crap… other systems, and PC do public online and allow chatting, but Nintendo seems to be too scared about it… regardless though, this games online is great, and I am stoked for a sequel if it sees the light of day, =)
