Tiger is coming back to golf this June, at least in console form. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 promises to offer a deeper, more enriching golf simulator than any of the previous efforts. The Wii version of the game will continue the trend of implementing Wii MotionPlus, a decision that made last year’s title a near perfect game.
However, EA Sports is still determined to improve upon all they did right last year. For starters, PGA Tour 11 will introduce two new swing types. The Advanced Plus swing type will more accurately read your swing based on the rotation and angle of your club, and will allow for outside-in and inside-out shots. The degree of rotation will be determined and indicated on screen for each swing.
Tour Pro is similar to the Advanced Plus swing type, but incorporates True View mode, which we’ve detailed before. Instead of viewing Tiger (or your on screen Avatar), you become the player and will view through the eyes of your on screen player, as if you’re right there on the golf course. This means you may miss the ball if you don’t keep your line perfect.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 is set for release June 8th across all consoles.
