Get ready to rock this summer, as Harmonix and MTV Games will release Green Day: Rock Band. The standalone title is set for a June 8th release for the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 consoles. The game will feature 47 tracks from the band’s extensive catalog, and will naturally feature their likeness within the game.
Play as band members Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool across different venues. The experience will bring fans on a journey through the history of Green Day. Unlockables are included in the game, including more than 100 collectible images, and more than 40 minutes of rare and unreleased interviews, outtakes and performances.
Of the 47 tracks, all of them are fully exportable to Rock Band, Rock Band 2, and the recently announced Rock Band 3. Some of the tracks confirmed for release are “Brain Stew,” “Jaded,” “Hitchin’ a Ride,” “American Idiot,” “Wake Me Up When September Ends” and “Boulevard of Broken Dreams.”
