This year marks the 20th Tokyo Game Show, being held September 16th through the 19th. Launched in August of 1996, TGS has been an industry staple as Asia’s premiere regional gaming news exhibition, as well as a world showcase for new and exciting products. TGS has actually laid claim to the title “World’s Largest Event.”
This year, aside from all the usual vendor exhibits to look forward to, TGS 2010 is introducing 8 new zones for those who attend the event. The new “Family Area” will host console and arcade video games targeted for children. A “PC Online Game Business Area” will bring new opportunities to discuss licensing, sales, and partnership regarding PC online games. The new “Mobile Area” will focus on mobile related products and software. Other areas will include “Audio-Visual & Gadget Area,” “Game PC Area,” “International Career Pavilion,” “Asian Game Business Summit” and the “International Business Consultation Area.”
The first two dates of the Tokyo Game Show are business only, but the second two will be opened to the public. Anyone flying out to Japan this September?
