Nintendo is continuing to celebrate their big game releases with another New York City event. This time, the party is for the DS release of Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions, releasing Sunday March 14th. On Sunday, Nintendo is inviting everyone out to the Toys R Us location in Times Square to get a peak at the game, and try out the new Pokewalker.
The Pokewalker is a new peripheral device that gains the player Watts which are used to catch Pokemon and discover hidden items. Your Pokemon inside the Pokewalker will also gain experience points, as you walk around with the device. Nintendo will let attendees try out the Pokewalker on a special trek following Pikachu’s footprints around the Broadway Plaza. The addition of the Pokewalker also allows users to transfer their favorite Pokemon characters from the game, to the device.
The event is being held on Sunday March 14 from 10am to 1pm at Toys R Us Times Square, located at 1514 Broadway, New York City.
