To the utter die hard Fallout fan (which I thought I was, but since I haven’t seen these, I guess I’m not!) these screen shots are not new: they’ve been published in a smattering of gaming mags and the scans have been available for awhile. But these are the shiny new high res versions and to the discerning eye reveal a lot about the upcoming game. For instance, the grayish skin on the Super Mutants– the New Vegas mutants are likely from the Mariposa military base, given that their skin color hearkens back to Fallout and Fallout 2 days. The eighth photo also has what looks like a formidable solar power facility, which probably serves to explain how New Vegas is a fully powered metropolis.
