Akysys Games has happily announced that two new games in the River City franchise are set to release on the Nintendo DS here in North America; River City Soccer Hooligans and River City Super Sports Challenge.
River City Soccer Hooligans pits the River City gang in a championship soccer style game, with 12 different teams and can play with up to 3 friends in a 4 way battle using the DS’ link-up.
River City Super Sports Challenge is an athletic fighting title, where the gang takes on other rival schools. Some of the special moves you’ll use will include the Pizza Shot and Human Bomb. This game also includes a 4 player link up mode. The Japanese version of the game released earlier this year.
Although not a River City Ransom sequel, it’s still great to see these franchises continue.
