Classic Controller Pro priced on GameStop’s website

Although it was announce that the new Classic Controller Pro would release in the U.S. bundled with this April’s release of Monster Hunter 3, it’s definitely coming by itself as well. That is, according to a recent product description for the controller that appears on GameStop’s retail site.

For just $19.99, you can get your hands on the white Pro controller. It improves over the original Classic Controller by including two sets of R and L buttons, spaced out buttons on the front of the device, and two extended handles for a much more comfortable grip. Additionally, the controller’s cable (used to plug it into the Wii Remote) has been moved to the top.

I’ve spent a lot of time with the Pro and find it to offer the best control feeling since the GameCube’s Wavebird. Actually, aside from the lack of wireless, this controller is better. The only complaint is a lack of GameCube support.

The Classic Controller Pro releases on April 1st.

Somebody really needs to make a cable that goes from gamecube port to the receiving end of a classic controller… Continuously shocks me that (far as I know) no such thing exists yet…
