I think the only similarities in Square Enix’s FFXIII and James Cameron’s AVATAR is the unique visual design, the world art, the beautiful scenery. The story, characters, even the props are far from related to the two titles.So Square Enix, please watch before you act… maybe it’d be great If you put an easter egg on an AVATAR special edition dvd, put Lightning on it traveling the RDA’s Base to the jungles of Pandora…

Yes they copied lots of stuff from SE…. Tree of souls = lifa tree (ff9) … Night time forest = Macalania woods (ffx)… Hallelujah Mountians = Kingdom of Zeal (chrono trigger)

thank you. jurassic park, star wars and the matrix. seemed entirely unoriginal and cliche. i was actually sick from comparing the movie. if avatar actually bit FF then it would have been way better.

Yes, I believe in some cases that Avatar was inspired in FF but like I love the two things (movie and game) so well they kinda go together, but like I think they shouldn't be stressed though as this two things are great maybe James Cameron will be the director of Final Fantasy the movie, we will never know x)
