Major League Baseball 2K10 trailer debuts “My Player” mode

With the March 2nd multi-console release of MLB 2K10 fast approaching, it’s time to take a look at some of the game’s features. 2K10 offers the new “My Player” mode, which helps craft your player from the early days of the minors to the major leagues. In what almost seems like a commercial for the “Foundation for a Better Life,” the trailer for the mode is all about showing how hard work will lead to greatness.

The game will also boast “MLB Today,” a live news ticker of the real MLB stats. Now, keeping track of real baseball while playing fake baseball just got a lot easier. This new feature will also extend through the in game roster, matching it with the current real life lineup.

So buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jacks, grab a bag of Big League Chew, and take a look at the new trailer.

Sweet. But I can see that the all-star game uniforms are still wrong just like last year. This isn't a big deal on the surface, but it detracts from the overall experience in a small way and additionally, it doesn't bode well for 2K's detail-orientation. I'm a mariner fan and if Michael Saunders is still black in the next game I'm never buying another 2K game ever again. Roster update fail.

That’s really cool. Gosh, that looks like a lot of fun. I’m not much into sports, but playing them in video games is always fun :p That way, I don’t look as dumb hehe. My bf will like being able to keep track of real scores.

The online play is fantastic because the show's servers are very well put together and unless you have an unreliable internet connection, you won't really see any lag while playing the game online. The game is also packed with a lot of great modes including franchise mode, where you have the opportunity to pick any MLB team and run the show as if you were an actual general manager in the majors.
