Next month Joanna Dark fans are awaiting the release of the updated, upgraded Nintendo 64 title Perfect Dark for XBLA. Now there might be reason for Bond fans to be excited too. It’s been revealed that the game’s multiplayer will again include weapons and levels from the much missed game Goldeneye 007, just as the original Perfect Dark did.
There has been some licensing and legal issues with releasing Goldeneye on any platform, since Rare, the game’s developer, was acquired by Microsoft since the game’s original release. Rare also developed Perfect Dark, so throwing in a few Bond weapons was an easier task, although you’ll notice their names have been changed.
The Facility, Complex and Temple levels are also set to be included in the game’s multiplayer. No word on which weapons will be included, but if you can use proximity mines in the Facility, consider me there.
