Valentine’s Day proved victorious for Steve Wiebe, formerly of The King of Kong fame, as he has once again reclaimed the top score for the arcade classic Donkey Kong Jr. Wiebe previously held the record, but was humbly beaten by players Ike Hall in 2008 and later Mark Kiehl in 2009. The Wiebster finished with an impressive score of 1,190,400, according to the highest authority, record keepers Twin Galaxies.
Unfortunately, Wiebe nemesis Billy Mitchel aka devil spawn still claims the top spot for the original Donkey Kong title. Something tells me that with this latest victory, Wiebe now has his eyes set right on destroying Mitchel once and for all. And his mullet.
