Eiji Aonuma has been talking up the latest Zelda Wii title like nobody’s business. Thankfully, he has no plans to stop anytime soon. Aonuma leaked a few more details about the game to Famitsu.
I’d like to show something playable. We’ll work hard in order to get you playing it as soon as possible. We’ve progressed in development since last year. At present, the core areas have come into clear view. After actually making it compatible [with MotionPlus], it just feels so natural. Link’s sword and the controller that you’re holding become one. Of course [there will be gameplay that puts an emphasis on the ability to swing your sword freely].
I’m so glad that MotionPlus is required for the game. I think that’s a great step in showing that sales figures aren’t as important as gameplay. Since selling the game without MotionPlus (even if bundled) might deter more casual folks from picking up the game. But naturally, I’m even more excited that the game will likely be playable at E3. At this point however, I’d even settle for a screenshot.
