Blue Planet Software and EA Mobile are celebrating as the mobile version of Tetris has been downloaded over 100 million times. Released in 2005, the game has been a staple to mobile phone gamers, and the iTunes App Store.
“Tetris on mobile will never go away,” said Henk Rogers, CEO of Blue Planet Software. ”As mobile devices get into the hands of more people, so does Tetris.”
Since it’s first release over 25 years ago, Tetris has debuted on nearly every gaming platform imaginable. With it’s first portable outing on the Game Boy over 20 years ago, it’s incredible that the success of Tetris is no where near fading.
