Sony’s motion controller being pushed back to fall

SonyPS3 and Motion Controller

Sony has announced to the dismay of many that its entry into the realm of motion controls will not happen this spring, as once hoped.  A new press release states that the company will launch the PS3 Motion Controller (tentative name of course) in Japan, NA and European regions this fall with an “extensive lineup of exciting software titles.”

The delay is mainly an attempt to launch the peripheral concurrently with a solid software release.  ”We look forward to soon unveiling the exciting software line-up that further expands and defines the PS3 platform as the ultimate entertainment system for the home,” said Sony president Kazuo Hirai.

I guess if you get tired of waiting, you could get a leg up by purchasing the PS Eye camera, which is required for using the controller.

Did they really say “entensive”? Is that something that’s both extensive and intensive?
